Danielle Luster, CFP®

Financial Planning was the best career that Danielle didn’t know existed. She was studying Urban Studies and Planning at UCSD, along with anthropology, French New Wave Film, and biology when she was offered an internship at a local brokerage firm. Initially it was hours of data entry and phone calls, but soon she was working with clients and had found a career she loved. Danielle’s relationships with clients are about much more than money. Learning about clients’ families, aspirations, challenges, and passions, is at the heart of what she loves about financial planning. Every day she gets to work with interesting, skilled, and engaged people and enjoys bringing them together.

Danielle has provided financial education to survivors of domestic violence, members of the military, Girl Scouts, and employee groups. She is a member of the San Diego Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and has served on the Pro Bono committee.

As a fourth-generation San Diegan, Danielle enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking, biking, and SCUBA diving. She loves to travel and is often in a state of wanderlust. Danielle and her husband Mark participate in the annual Padres Pedal the Cause bike ride to raise funds for local cancer research. Danielle is fortunate to have wonderful family, friends, and dogs Ginger, Poppy, and Bazzel.
